If you park in San Francisco, this app is a must! You never have to sweat having change or whether the meter is jammed or has a broken credit card reader (they can ticket you anyway). Also you can start with a minimal amount of time and then add time if needed (within posted limits), from your phone... no more running out of the restaurant or store or jumping out of the pedicure chair to feed the stupid meter! I love this app.

Once I hit pay it gets stuck Hard to manage payments this way I asked a police and he didnt know what to do or say Dangerous

If you dont like looking for change and need the convenience of reminders that using a card wont give you, this is the perfect app. Now if they could just get more cities to adopt this then this would be perfect.

I use it in San Francisco.

I used the app and still got a parking ticket. I called the helpline and they confirmed I paid, but said I would need to contest the ticket by requesting a mitigation hearing. Waste of time, use the machines on the street.

Overall the app is extremely helpful. My major issue is that my location number was saved in my phone. The app must have refreshed since I last used it, and when I went to pay once I was on the train, there was no way to look up my location number by station name. There should be an online directory somewhere

Live in San Francisco and have used this app for a long time. Almost every morning so I can sleep in. No tickets yet ! Pros : Easy to use . I take a picture of the parking meter the night before. Set my alarm to 8:55am ,open app enter parking meter number and how much longer i want to sleep. Works everytime. Sends me a text 5 min before the meter expires. Sends me an email with date,time paid to park and amount billed to credit card,as prof of payment. Note ~it will not show the time paid on the meter. meter will still show expired. but it will show up on the metermaids handheld ticketing device. Update---- it now shows the parking as paid. Sometimes there is a 1 or2 minute lag time. But its a great app.

Simple and fast

This app is a necessity and super fast and easy to use.

From being able to pay as soon as you park without having to find a machine, to reminders when your parking will expire all the way to extending your parking without having to go to the car PayByPhone makes parking in the city a breeze.

Wouldnt take my phone number. I never used the app before. Didnt work for me. To a parking garage, I guess... :/

With new update the app wont even open.

With the new update, the app isnt opening. I have no idea how much time is left on my spot!

Not working on iPhone 7 plus iOS 10 after last update

I started using this app because a bunch of the sticker-producing machines around my work refuse to take my debit card, so my choice was to walk several blocks to use another iffy machine or pay my$0.35 for the convenience of using this app on the streets of Seattle. Do NOT be fooled - the only convenience it provides is letting meter maids know EXACTLY where to go and what car to target and the exact minute to do it to catch the maximum number of people for a $50 fine! At least two times I got tickets within minutes of being over - 6 minutes and 7 minutes. I am in the service industry and sometimes we put people first over making it back to the car at the exact second it runs out, you know? It is called being human. The last straw and what made me delete the app entirely (and all other like" apps) was apparently I had lost track of how many tickets I had received and I got "the boot" today! Once again, this app had to have not only flagged my plate number but told them exactly where to go to nail me: all said and done in less than 25 minutes after I parked. $550 sting later, I deleted the app and will never use it or anything like it ever again. SO not worth the risk of some naughty list" punishment you may not even know about! Use your card in the machine and forget this crap entirely.

This app is completely nonfunctional on an iPhone.

Not able to open application at all opens and crashes nothing comes up :-(

Havent used this in awhile but needed it today and it wont even open. Must be new update issue.
