PayByPhone Parking App Reviews

When it comes to managing your credit cards this app goes through such a ridiculous method. You cant review current credit information and instead are forced to enter a new credit card each time you want to review. And when submitting a payment, you arent told which card you are paying with. So unless you want to resubmit a credit card, you cant verify which card your using. This has caused me many headaches. I dont know why PayByPhone wouldnt have a more intuitive approach to paying and reviewing.

Easy to use, very convenient!!

One of the best utility apps for finding parking in San Francisco.

Cant easily find location numbers by search or alphabetical listing. Tortured English syntax in some screens. Overly chatty use of notifications. All in all, a mess. I can see why my local transit authority uses it. Theyre a mess, too.

2 DAYS after I launched the app for the first time in a year: "Pay by Phone has been using your location in the background. Do you want to continue this?" And this is AFTER it told me it wasnt valid for the location despite signs. I didnt even USE it for its (purported) purpose and its STILL tracking me? Only options in Settings are Always and Never. Deleted immediately. Apple should not allow this AT ALL. All apps should be REQUIRED to have an Only When Im using option.

I hate parking meters! I never make it back in time. Now I never have to interrupt my good time to go update my parking.

Good app, feels a bit clunky but it gets the job done.

Nice, functional app. Would like to have a station number lookup function and/or station number links on the map.

The app is half html. The design is slow and has too many steps, too many confirmations and no intelligence. Why do I have to enter my location every day? Use the GPS. Why do I have to enter a one day duration everyday start with 1 as a default. The process should be two steps: enter a space and confirm the rest. Instead its a slow load back and forth.

I read some other reviews citing this app as not user friendly, clunky and primitive. Perhaps Im fortunate, as I havent had any issues, and Ive been using it for well over a year. No connectivity issues, no clunkiness. The app was simple to set up, simple to change which vehicle Im paying for (we have 2), and it was very easy to update license plates, too. Consider me a happy customer. Additional info: Im using an iPhone 5S, and my husbands is an iPhone 6.

Annoying outages. Super-slow. Why is it necessary to have to enter the security code of CC every time?

Great idea, however the UI is quite dated and not very intuitive. Would love to see this modernized, as well as incorporate Apple Pay. Please dont the "monopoly" status you have with certain cities let you get complacent with your features.

Makes parking in the city much better, especially when you need to add more time. It is cool when the light turns green after you use the app. Only 4 stars because the app itself isnt that nicely designed and the NFC isnt that seamless to use.

Coming into the city is easier with Pay by Phone. I can bounce around to different locations in one day. The app is simple and the storing of my information makes scoring the spot and paying easy.

App no longer works, it constantly crashes when you attempt to launch

Love that I dont need to find my credit card, or try to read the prompts on the parking meter kiosk screens, or go back to my car to put a stupid sticker on the window.

Biggest feature that should be added is putting the parking location numbers on the map.

Once upon a time this was a great app. Not so much anymore
